About the artist.
Ever since I was able to hold a pencil and a paintbrush, I have been drawing and painting. From then until now I have been inspired deeply by being alive and experiencing everything life has to offer. I have a constant need to recreate the things I see and feel, adding my own twist of perspective and humor. Within my works, from body parts to landscapes, I want to create something fantastical.
My Inspirations
I am inspired by van Gogh and his paint application, Gustave Caillebotte, his attention to detail, and my love for his subjects. I love Francois Boucher’s mystical scenes, and Thomas Eakins’s way of painting the body. As for contemporary inspiration, a lot of it comes from the painted figures of Jenny Saville, Ivan Alifan, and Pascal Möhlmann. I also feel it is important to mention what inspires me outside of artists. I have always loved cartoons, movies, and books. From Spongebob and Patrick to Marvel and DC, I have always been obsessed with drawing characters from shows and movies. I am inspired all the time by everything around me.
